The local Neighbourhood Watch social network.

Erith Watch are appealing for information; On Wednesday this week there were a number of incidents involving a stolen, high powered motorbike being illegally ridden by two 13 / 14 year old male youths in and around Erith. One incident involved criminal damage to a Police car, and another more serious incident involved a very near miss with an Erith Watch member who was walking his dog on the riverfront pathway which runs between Morrison's car park and the end of James Watt Way. The bike and riders skidded for several yards after losing control, just missing the man and his dog. The skidmarks are visible at the scene of the crime now.

The two youths have been seen on several occasions prior to the incidents on Wednesday. They ride a stolen sports motorbike, thought to be a Suzuki GSX-R 1000 (or similar high powered model). The Police are actively looking for the two, who disguise themselves with hoodies and bandannas over the lower parts of their faces. They are a danger to themselves and to local residents. They need to be stopped before someone is injured or even killed.

If you see them, if possible take a photograph which may aid in their identification - under no circumstances put yourself at risk. Please phone the North End Safer Neighbourhood Police Team on 020 8721 2023 with the details of any sightings. If it is an emergency you can also ring 999; if non urgent, ring 101.

Feel free to comment below if you have any other information or thoughts on the situation.

Many thanks for any help you can give in bringing these two idiots to justice.
